Episode 35: Add more touchpoints, increase your bookings
Tuesday May 10, 2022
Tuesday May 10, 2022
Today, I’m talking about something that’s absolutely essential to increasing your bookings: adding more touch points for potential clients to see along the way. See, touch points — or those little ways in which potential clients are interacting with your brand — are way more important than you might think.
A lot of the photographers and creatives will send one pricing PDF guide to a potential client, and then hear crickets. I used to be the same, too! But, adding a few more touch points along the way is what will level up that area of your business and increase confidence from your clients and from you. This episode is the perfect short listen for streamlining that area of your business so that you can book more projects and clients that you’re proud of!

Episode 34: Magical morning practice
Tuesday Apr 26, 2022
Tuesday Apr 26, 2022
On this episode of I Might Cry, I’m sharing the practice I’ve been implementing into my mornings lately for a life that feels equal parts intentional, mindful, and magical. The simple truth that makes life feel just a little easier: you get the chance to do a little reset every single day as the sun starts to sneak up into the sky, and you get the chance to live your life in a more intentional way, too. By taking that chance and really, truly approaching your mornings from that standpoint of renewal and gratitude, everything changes.
Listen in for some ways to make those mornings of yours a sacred start to the day, and try to take the time to give yourself a little extra thanks, too — because you’re here, you woke up, and you have a brand new day in front of you, every single day. How lucky is that?

Episode 33: Getting to the root of your limiting beliefs as a creative
Tuesday Apr 12, 2022
Tuesday Apr 12, 2022
In this week’s episode of I Might Cry, I’m taking you behind the scenes of a coaching call with one of my clients where we dig deep into the limiting beliefs that tend to get in the way of everything. From the way we price our services to the way we approach our lives, these beliefs can affect so much of our daily decisions. My client on this call is an incredible musician dealing with the growing pains that so many of us have to deal with… like raising rates (even when it feels scary), taking ownership of the value we all offer, and struggling with feeling like we need to justify every single step we take in business.
This episode is the sweetest reminder that you are where you are for a reason — and is packed with tons of little gems, from a mini tapping session all the way to digging into your inner child, and finding out how you can keep healing them as you go. It feels a little like a therapy session wrapped into a podcast episode, and I can’t wait for you to listen in.

Episode 32: Releasing Control to Absorb More Life
Tuesday Mar 29, 2022
Tuesday Mar 29, 2022
In this week’s episode of I Might Cry I’m sitting down with my husband, David, to talk about something hugely important that’s been defining in our lives lately: the releasing of control. From the way we run Almond Leaf to the way we parent our kids to the way we maintain our own relationships, control (or a releasing of it) has been hugely, hugely impactful. We’re talking about how to welcome in the hard things, how to support without control, and how to live a life that’s rich in abundance and joy and love and everything in between.
If you’ve been looking for a reminder to let go — and to just let… life — then this is the perfect, perfect listen for you. Whether you’re a parent, a creative entrepreneur, or just a human trying to make it on this crazy journey we call life, listen in.

Episode 30: How passive income can change everything with The Southern Host
Tuesday Mar 01, 2022
Tuesday Mar 01, 2022
There’s nothing quite like sprinting right into things that feel unknown or scary, but also feel 10 kinds of right, is there? I got to dive into this with my friend Alyssa Foushee, who faced all that fear to try something new — AKA buying, fixing up, and creating Airbnb businesses out of beautiful log cabins in Charlotte, North Carolina. Also known as The Southern Host, Alyssa and her husband have been able to create a thriving business that brings them tons of joy — and profit — every single day. In this episode, Alyssa shares her advice for testing out the Airbnb waters, talks about how passive income can allow you to shift your priorities, and dives into managing the reality of being a “yes” girl.

Did you know that your business doesn’t have to feel so hard? In fact, your business is supposed to feel good. Open for opportunity. Beautiful. Really, it’s supposed to make you proud. And, I know from personal experience — and from the experience of so many of my students and fellow entrepreneurs, too — that really making your business feel GOOD starts with one thing: tracking your leads.
In this episode, I’m showing you why — and how — to start tracking your leads in a way that makes sense for you. See, I’m a HUGE believer that the energy you give to your business (and the energy that your business gives you) shouldn’t be that draining type of energy, you know? It should be the life-giving kind. The soulful kind.
Lead tracking is what’s going to get you there, and this episode will show you how.

Tuesday Jan 18, 2022

Elizabeth welcomes back her partner in life and in business, David, as they look back at the process that allowed them to gain more rhythm and predictability in their booking. Elizabeth and David may see things differently but they ultimately share the same value system and have found so much clarity in their method.
In this episode they’re sharing more about the method that took their business from near bankruptcy 10+ years in, back to a thriving business that allows them more freedom in their lifestyle.

Episode 26: Expanding via imperfection and authenticity
Tuesday Jan 04, 2022
Tuesday Jan 04, 2022
In this episode, Elizabeth and Emma dive into how creativity can thrive most when we are at peace. This soulful, honest conversation discusses how showing up imperfectly allows you to be vulnerable and alive, and magnetically draws in like-minded clients as well.
Both women find goodness in the “stretchy” part of growth in business. By being a co-collaborator with your clients and audience, and being open to feedback, everything can come together for maximum growth, creativity, and potential.
After joining the conversation, you’ll leave knowing that breathing life into your business is really all about doing things your own way.
